Living Light: Turning 23
I turn 23 this June.
And lately, I’ve been asking myself a question I can’t shake:
What does it mean to truly live?
Not just exist. Not just check the boxes or make it through the week. But to really, fully, wholeheartedly live—with purpose, with light, with joy.
23 Things I Want to Learn, Live & Remember for 23
Inspired by Anne Wilson, here are 23 truths I’m carrying with me as I walk toward 23. Some I’ve learned, some I’m still learning, and some I’m holding close for what’s ahead:
God’s timing is never rushed and never late.
Rest is productive.
You don’t have to have it all figured out to move forward.
The simple moments often end up meaning the most.
Say yes to the adventure, even if it’s small.
You can feel lost sometimes.
Jesus is Love.
Your health matters—fight for it.
Don’t wait for confidence—act in obedience.
Showing up is often the hardest and most important part.
Joy is found in presence, not perfection.
The Holy Spirit still moves in the quiet.
Romanticize your life—it’s worth celebrating.
Take more pictures of the people you love.
Don’t let fear keep you from starting.
Guard your heart, but don’t build a wall.
Not every dream is loud—some grow slow and steady.
You’re not too late and you’re not behind.
Ask for help—you're not meant to carry it all alone.
Kindness is never wasted.
Creativity is worship.
You are loved—without earning it.
Living light isn’t a destination—it’s a daily choice.
